Materials
To crochet a puff stitch square, you will need the following materials:
- Yarn: Any yarn weight can be used, but for a puff stitch square as shown, a five weight yarn is recommended. You can choose any color you like. I used Bernat Home Dec Yarn.
- Crochet Hook: Select a hook size that works with your chosen yarn weight. I used a J 6 mm with this particular yarn.
- Scissors: A sharp pair of scissors will be needed to cut the yarn when you finish crocheting the square.
- Yarn needle: You will use this to weave in the ends of the yarn around the square.
Once you have all the materials ready, you can start crocheting the puff stitch square.
